Best Unity Snowboards

In the face of great adversity, Unity Snowboards remains a solid snowboard company & shows no signs of slowing down. Learn more with our Unity Snowboard reviews.

With the exception of big name companies like Burton Snowboards or Gnu Snowboards, many manufacturers have found themselves in recent years as either the children of enormous parent companies who care more about quantity than quality, or completely dissolved altogether. A mixture of a thriftier economy and unpredictable snow seasons has taken its toll on many fledgling snowboard makers.

But not Unity.

They are not only still in business, not only selling their classic models like the Origin and Pride, but they are growing expotentially.

Unity isn’t content with maintaining the status quo–they want to expand and innovate, opening doors to new areas of snowboarding technology and gaining a larger consumer base, year after year. It’s this drive that has allowed them to keep their doors open for business for as long as they have.

Unity doesn’t have a very large selection of boards, but there’s still something there for everyone–whether you like the park, the backcountry, the big mountain, or the powder; whether you prefer normal or wide snowboards; whether you’re a man, woman, or child.

You might be a beginner or you might be an expert, but no matter what experience level you are, there’s a Unity ride that can take you wherever you need to go.

So, have we piqued your interest in Unity Snowboards yet? We love these rides and hope you want to learn more!

We’ve gone ahead an compiled a list of their three bestselling models and provided brief reviews on each.

Here are the top 3 Unity rides:

  • Unity Origin Series Snowboard
  • Unity Pride Series Snowboard
  • Unity Virgo Series Snowboard

Each of these has their own uniquely positive attributes, whether it’s for the park, for the big mountain, or for female-specific dimensions. Before clicking away and watching some big mountain powder runs on YouTube, take a look at the overviews of these sticks and learn a little bit more about what it is that makes Unity tick.

Unity Origin Series Snowboard Review

For awhile, Unity was most famous for making big mountain boards that could cruise the backcountry powder like nobody’s business. Today, they have added a great selection of park and pipe boards–a few of which have even been instrumental in winning big time terrain park championships. The Origin is one of these models.

The Origin snowboard is a true twin, park snowboard that is one hundred percent symmetrical, both in shape and flex. This allows for some easy switchfoot riding as well as reliable pop.

And because of its lightweight design, the Unity Origin gets gnarly air.

The flex of the Origin is particularly important. They wanted something soft enough to control with absolute ease, but still stiff enough so that it can hold an edge with an iron grip. They found it in their wood composite impact pads for the core of the Origin.

Is there a board with better pop, snap, and ollie love? Maybe, but you’d have a hard time finding it.

Some of the Unity Origin Series Snowboard’s best features include:

  • Trizac Finished Durasurf 2001 Sintered Base
  • Bulletproof Sintered P-Tex Sidewall
  • Tip-to-Tail Vertically Laminated Wood Core
  • Traditional Camber Profile

Unity Pride Series Snowboard Review

It’s no wonder Unity decided to call this ride the Pride–it’s the king of the jungle (and they got a whole helluvalot to be proud about!)

The Pride is technically a directional freestyle snowboard, but it’s really so much more than that. With the boatload of special features and add-ons the Pride has, it can go anywhere and do anything. It’s just at home in the park as it is in the pow.

Oftentimes, companies will create lines of all-mountain boards, saying they are capable of taking you all over the resort. And oftentimes, this is a downright lie. All-mountain snowboards are the most common in the market, but so few of them can really live up to their name. Unity’s Pride snowboard is one of those few.

With deep sidecuts, the Pride is one of the quickest responding boards in its class, giving it a leg up amongst the park and pipe competition. The directional shape and flex gives it even more versatility, allowing it to act as a fantastic free rider in the backcountry powder.

A few of the Unity Pride’s best features include:

  • Tip-to-Tail Vertically Laminated Wood Core
  • Bulletproof Sintered P-Tex Sidewall
  • Trizak Finished Durasurf 2001 Sintered Base
  • Carbon-Wrapped Core

Unity Virgo Series Snowboard Review

If you’re a lady snowboarder looking for a high performance ride, this might be the one for you. The Virgo is a true all-mountain machine, made to run you over, through, and around every obstacle on the mountain–and you can even spend some time in the park with it, too!

The Virgo is the only female-specific board from Unity, and it’s a darn good one.

With a geometry and waist width that’s tailored for a woman’s body, the Unity Virgo is much easier to ride than a lot of other boards that claim to be female specific.

Some specifics on what makes the Unity Virgo so great include:

  • Reverse Camber Profile
  • Sintered Durasurf 2001 Base
  • Tip-to-Tail Aspen and Maple All-Wood Core
  • Bulletproof Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls
  • Centered Radial Sidecuts
